My MBP (about two years old or so,) was very awesome up until a little while ago. I started having my screen turn weird shades of gray, and the only way to fix it would be to wiggle the LCD back and forth (by pushing it back and forwards.) I dealt with it this way for a while, until finally, I cannot make it regular again. It is forever stuck on a gray/white screen with a bunch of weird looking lines.

Im scared that if I go to the genius bar, some noob will just tell me "cracked LCD, blah blah accidental damage." When clearly I have watched it go downhill until this point.

Does anyone know if there is like a...cable that attatches to the mainboard that could get pinched and stop working?

Thanks

What video card do you have? It sounds like the famous defective 8600gt problem. If so, you're protect by warranty for that particular issue.
