Anybody else perturbed about the large amount of water damage threads there have been lately?
I'm planning on buying the 3G iPhone and I admit I never really thought about the possibility of dropping it in the toliet, or a pool, or a puddle of water; thereby losing my entire ($400?) purchase! Apple no longer offers repairs for this at any price?!
Obviously I don't plan on dropping my phone a lot, so I wasn't worried about any little dinks or scuffs that may appear on the edges, but it only takes ONE drop in the water to make it extinct. I have been pushed in the pool once with my phone (worked for a bit, but eventually had to get a new one) and dropped one in the toliet once(it survived!).
The possibility scares me... Careful I must be.
