Well I did what I said I would never do. I upgraded from AWU TO AWU2, I feel like I'm alone in this upgrade. Anyone else here done it? and why? What led me to do this was I was having a software glitch which apple genius bar couldn't figure out and said they would have to send it away for testing/diagnosis. The software glitch appeared in front of 2 apple staffers, one that worked on the floor and other was the apple technician that work in the back of the store. Stores don't have any methods/any repairs or replacements without first having one of their authorized service centers first check out the watch for hardware faults even though I have AppleCare they are not offering a immediate replacement w/AppleCare warranty active. The technician said even though when they send it out for a thorough deep hardware diagnostic check and for touch screen issues, that if they cant replicate the problem while at the service center they will deem everything is fine and send it back to me with potentially same problems. So here i am experimenting and thinking I'll test a new apple watch ultra 2 and see if the problem is the new WatchOS 10 bugs or if its my watch being faulty. My 3rd day with the AWU2 the problem isn't occurring yet and new watch is smooth and glitch free with the same OS. After 3 days of use I'm starting to like the upgrade, although I don't like the price I had to pay to basically have the same watch and features for $700 out of my pocket, that I didn't need to spend. Of course i do like the finger gesture feature and offline Siri support. I did notice a increase in battery life in the AWU2, even though no ones reporting it.

I bought an Ultra 2 in addition to the Ultra 1 and am wearing them in rotation. Can’t say that the difference is really much noticeable but the speed definitely is a bit improved in comparison and yes, battery life is a tad better as well.

Not really a necessary upgrade if you have an Ultra 1 but the itch needed to be scratched and I sold my S7 SS gold to compensate a little.

what is the problem?
Had a unique issue since I first installed the watch OS10 betas in the summer. After several weeks on the beta every time I call the dialer app to the screen it would cycle between recent call screen and the last call, back and forth for about 6-8 cycles before settling down. Like it was either multi touch screen issue or some animation software bug but like I said this isn't occurring with the same software on the AWU2. So annoying and I'm glad the new watch isn't showing the same glitching.

I did it but only b/c I sold my AWU1 for $575.
The brighter screen is nicer outside. Also I think my battery life is much improved (the old watch's battery health was 98%), at 48 hours I usually have 5-8% left.
