I have a 2008 MBP and with daily usage my machine has hundreds of cycles. Post a screenshot if you can. Also how long does your battery last? I'd say with heavy usage mine lasts 2 hours with full brightness.

How long a battery lasts on a charge is determined by a number of factors, including screen brightness, WiFi, bluetooth, apps/widgets/processes running, etc. No two are alike. There are hundreds of battery threads where this is explained in detail, as well as hundreds of threads where people have posted screenshots of their battery health. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

My Late 2008 MBP has 741 cycles and 86% health (3969mAh). I have seen the health go between 74 and 88% lately but I feel pretty happy with it's performance.

I'll check the 2006 when I get home, full charge gets like 50 minutes...

Funny thing is the new battery arrived at my house this morning :)

It's an early 2009 aluminum MacBook that's survived 7 falls onto concrete or other hard surfaces, wasn't shutdown for almost 4 months, had the glass covering the screen shatter, and has caused second degree burns to my thighs and yet it soldiers on. It's nickname is the Terminator if you're interested.

Late 2008 Aluminum Macbook. It's served me very well and now will continue to see use as a more portable alternative to my new 2.0 i7 15". It still gets a good 3 hours on a charge too.

Wow. That's a bit "hardcore". No?

Do you mind posting some pics of your "Terminator"?

Respect. My Macbook PRo has gotten so hot the keys melted. I can't imagine getting burned by your computer. Did you not notice it warming up?

Well it was on and under quite a bit of stress, and I went to lay down and just put it on my bare thighs and left it there for a little bit too long. I'm a little bit more cautious about it now.
