Did you notice any difference in battery after switching? When can we expect a software update? This is my first iphone btw

I have, problem with buzzing coming from the earpiece. Second one was perfect, not had enough time to make a proper judgement call on the battery.

I got a warranty replacement on my 4S for bad battery life.

Replacement unit has the same problems.

Currently at 24% after 3 hours and 7 minutes of 3G internet browsing (should be 6 according to Apple)...

I returned my sprint 4S (horrible data speeds) and got a new AT&T one, the battery life on my 2nd phones is a hundred times better, I'll have 3 or 4 hours of heavy use and 10 hours of standby and still be around 60% battery.

Bear in mind batteries can work in weird ways. It could be the next 24% is a lot slower to drain.

Right now I'm:

71%
1hr 48min usage
5hr 5min standby

Seems a bit excessive to me as the most intensive thing I've done is play some Crime City, which is nowhere near a graphically intensive game.

Unfortunately it didn't :(

Took screenshots of every single % change & usage time (99 total) while browsing the web so that I can show the genius and get a replacement...

Total usage time while on 3G browsing: 3 hours 57 minutes (with an extra 9 minutes of standby). This should be 6 hours according to Apple...

**And of course this is already with battery calibration (0 ->100%) and every single setting that draws power (siri, location, ping, auto brightness, etc)**

That blows. You shouldn't need that much evidence to convince the "genius" that you need a new one though. It seems that this problem is widespread enough that they should already be aware of it. But better safe than sorry I suppose. Just hope he doesn't say it died so fast because you kept taking screenshots lol.

I returned my first for having a faulty camera, got a new one and haven't had any problems at all. I've never noticed a battery issue; I think it's 90% forum hysteria really. It's like realizing you have ADHD after a drug has been invented to treat it. I did disable Location Tracking for Ping and take off Weather from my Notifications, but I've always done that. I don't need hourly weather reports.
