So it's 11pm Christmas Eve and Santa is making his rounds and I'm almost half-way thru a 12.5-hr shift at work. I really got the short end of the stick this year too -- working all night Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and New Years Day too. I know I shouldn't complain, but.....

Not this year thankfully! :)

In the past I have been on alert in strange and exotic lands over the holidays.

The worst was being on a 5 minute strip alert throughout the holiday period.

My hat's off to those who work over the holidays serving others -- especially those in uniform defending freedom and those maintaining emergency and support services.

Twelve and a half hours on xmas eve? I hope you are being paid extra! Hell, I used to work for Texas Stadium (to put simply, where the Dallas Cowboys play... independent company that runs the facilities) and I had to come in at 8:00 AM on Christmas day a few years back because it was game day! Arg it sucked too because during the game, someone spilt beer on me.

Today I am watching the Santa Tracker from NORAD hoping he stops by sometime soon. :p

I was working christmas eve but seeing as it is now 1625 on christmas day this topic is pretty redundent ;)

I had to cover a guy's shift from 6:30am-close.

luckily we closed at 3 today! :):)

I work at a pretty heavily jewish bakery. Borokah, Challah, Sufganyiot... mmmmm.

*snacking behind counter*
Uhh.. quality control.
