Hiker killed by goat

Ok, sometimes animals in national parks do naughty things. It is a bit of a challenge vetting these beasties for proper behavior before we let them in there. But, really, do we have to kill every damn animal that poses a threat to humans (like the recent bear incident near Yellowstone)? Kind of drains that last little hint of wilderness quality out of the parks, making them completely safe.

Disgusting. What else is there to say?

It's common for resource management to reduce populations as needed. Always has been. IIRC, goat overpopulation has been a problem in Olympic for a while now, damaging delicate ecosystems.

I'm pretty sure you can carry in the parks now. Obama of all people changed the law but I don't know if it is in effect yet.
