Key points:

• Faster moderation: waiting times for submissions will drop dramatically.

• Free apps with full functionality: our iOS app is joining Android in becoming free to download, and in-app subscriptions on both platforms will soon be free for all users.

• No more display ads: in the coming weeks, the site will go ad-free, resulting in a cleaner, faster WhoSampled experience for everyone.

Take aways:

1. No more ads.
This should be good, as the site often has some quite annoying intrusive ads.

2. Music sampling features now free (was subscription).
Wonder how this fits-in with Apple's Shazam ownership – hope AppleOS users get the same functionality, given Spotify is cross-platform.

3. Faster moderation.
Hopefully this will actually become true, as sometimes could take ages to get things done on the site.
