Welp,

All I can say is thank God for that old first Gen iPhone I'm currently using.

So, I was on an iPhone 3GS w/ old bootrom, 3.1.3 jb w/ Spirit. I knew better than to upgrade... I knew better. In a moment of absolute weekness (and at 1am) I tried using the following methods:

Everything worked just fine until I tried to install the pwnage'd 4.0 fw - It just restored 4.0 w/o cydia. So here I am with 4.0 - awesome, no problem... I'll just downgrade, right? -

Wrong - I backed my SHSH up on 3.1.3, but now it can't be found. Again, stuck w/ 4.0

I know, I know - let the mocking begin.

Nonetheless, here's another hoping that the 4.0 universal JB comes out soon.

So what did you do?
You restored to the official 4.0 instead of the custom 4.0 created with pwnage?
You tried to downgrade to 3.1.3 but your shshs where not found after you edited your hosts file?

1. restored the JB 4.0 but it seems to have just upgraded to the official w/ no sign of cydia. I'm positive it was a custom FW as well.

2. Downgrade - exactly.

btw, I've heard that's normal - you might need to get RecBoot or something.

I honestly know better - I feel stupid.

Nonetheless, the method listed sure seems to work for some people - just not me.

Does this mean I have the right to turn into one of those people who are like "Where the @#$@ he@#$@ is my jailbreak!!! Whaaaaaa!!!"
