Is it due to software limitation set by Apple? Is there a way to do it? I don't want mirror mode. I want extended screen mode. Thanks

It’s clearly limited by Apple so their iOS isn’t as versatile and powerful as macOS in traditional computer tasks. Extending screen is one of them.

There is a way to do it but it's limited. You can use a capture card and an HDMI adapter, but your screen will only be 1080p (no way to use the full screen). From a Windows computer for instance I can change the resolution and have it use the full screen, but not from iPad, still better than nothing...

Because there is no use case. You could simply just attach a portable external monitor.
