I noticed this recently and can't seem to find a way to fix it. If I ask Siri to set an alarm, it has "None" for the sound, which is pretty useless and I have to go in anyway to set it to the sound I want.

Meanwhile alarms set using the "+" button have the correct sound.

Is this a bug? Does anyone else have this issue?

Having the same problem here. Deleted all alarms and set a few manually with the radar sound, but when I use Siri to set a new one, It defaults to silent, I.e. "sound: none"

I had a similar problem a while back which might be connected?
I set my music setting to 'lossless audio' and my alarms went silent. Checking it out it's happened to others too.
Maybe Siri chooses lossless and that's causing the problem??? Something to look into perhaps??

Have you tried to manually create an alarm and select a sound? Then ask Siri to create one? I remember something from a couple years back about new alarms using settings from previous ones. Don't recall the details, though.

Just tried this, didn't work. The new alarm is still silent.

Anyone here on iOS 17 beta who could test this? And if you're seeing the bug, maybe report it against the beta? It's more likely to be fixed there than in almost end-of-life iOS 16.
