Why are Amazon customer DIS-service SO frustrating?! I am talking about the template-reading, scripted humano-bot Indians who rattle off the same rehearsed lines WITHOUT LISTENING?

FOUR HOURS on chat to (NOT) replace a NEW, faulty Fire TV. I've been told wildly varying levels of utter cockamamy BS regarding it... why are Amazon SO USELESS, and their CS the POLAR OPPOSITE of Apple's?

Perhaps you just got a bad representative?

What, 100 times over 5 years? I think you may be naive of the excruciating level of ineptitude which is inherent in Amazon's outsourced Cs. On the SURFACE they appear as "amazing" according to the average member of the public... well OF COURSE they'd say that - Amazon pander to the customers demands to replace things - but if you pursue a CS query with ANY depth or complexity, with complex and detailed instructions, it ALL falls apart - they go into meltdown!

LOL!!

I've had nothing but bad luck with Amazon chat. Calling in on the other hand has always been pretty good. So, although its not as convinenent to call, I only do that now.

The reply was in reference to the hours spent on chat about a broken new Fire TV, which was the specific and only incident brought up in the OP.

One NEVER gets a mere ONE agent, they transfer you about 47 times.

Out of a handful times that I've used their chat, for the majority of those I was never transferred and had things taken care of fairly quickly (on a couple others I had one transfer, as I recall). Not really making any general statements, or saying anything about other experiences, just mentioning my anecdotal experience when it comes to it all.

Understood.

You think they are bad as a buyer wait until you sell stuff there and a customer runs a scam. Got my item back but its open box now so its worthless because no one is going to pay shipping on it due to its size. A strange way to treat someone with 100% feedback and selling higher priced items there not suitable for antique shops.

There needs to be a import tax on all customer service calls originating outside the U.S.
