Using HandBrake to convert .m2t file into and H.264 mp4 makes my 1080i (5min - 470mb) clip turn into a bloated 1.1gb file!

Please share your knowledge about what I'm not setting properly.

~ Why/what am I doing?
I would like to keep the resolution as high as possible so I can stream it back to my HDTV and it look good but I still wanna put the video into iMovie and quickly snip out all the commercials. Not only are they annoying but they add to my file size. :p

Thank You!!! :apple:

Convert it to AIC instead of H.264 if you want to edit out all the commericials. Then convert it to H.264.
If you think they file size is bloated now, just wait until it's in AIC.

So you're saying that .m2t is more compressed than H.264, wonderful.
Top it off that I don't see AIC in HandBrake but I see that Voltaic HD will.

Thanks for the fast response and I'll post back with the results.
