I looked at the Places where my photos taken with my iPhone show up and..

...they...

are showing up as being taken in CHINA?

What is going on? I've never been there in all my life. Is this some bug or cookie or cyber stalker?

It doubles the photos at their actual location, this is giving me the creeps.

Mongolia, and other parts of China?

WHAT?

I remember that when the iPhone (3G?) was launched, there were issues with negative latitudes and longitudes, but that was solved long time ago.
What version of iPhone OS are you running? What type of iPhone do you have? How do you transfer the iPhone photos to your Mac? What location is displayed if you open the photo in Preview and open the Info panel?
