Will post a picture when i get home but i ran black magic (i think that's what it's called) the other day and i wasn't breaking 100mg on the write speed.

I was gettin 300mb's on my Air and the SSD is supposed to be a lot better!

I was torrenting at the same time so would that have impacted it?

I'll run it again tonight but just seeing if something running in the background is causing it to slow right down

Thanks

New MacBook has the new NVMe controller, so is entirely possible that SW has not caught up with it yet. My own 1.2 is blisteringly fast in real world use. Some have documented disabling FileVault 2 made a difference, equally I believe the difference is only in the reported speed not actual performance of the SSD.

I have a 2011 Air and the rMB is significantly faster on disk based activities, very comparable to my 2014 13" rMBP, faster than my 2012 15" rMBP
