Hi guys,

I have around 100 videos I need to import off my Sony camera to my iMac.

I have just imported them through lightroom, but when I play the videos back the video is really jumpy, and not the quality it should be.

I am trying to make a video in Final Cut Pro, but even when I import them to final cut pro the videos are still jumpy

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Firstly, more information would be a help. Is it tape format you are transferring ? FCP has 3 formats which are you using?
Are you using a firewire or USB connection?

Can you play them back smoothly on the camera, or are they jumpy at the source? When you import them onto your iMac, are they jumpy within FCP, or when you export them to final product are they still jumpy? They could be poorly recorded (unlikely), or stressing the resources in your iMac while editing (perhaps likely).
