I have an AWU 2...I will get an email notification (as an example) on my phone, open the email, see it is advertising, and delete the email. A few seconds later, the notification for the now deleted email arrives on my watch. Maybe it was always like this and since I've been using a Garmin for the past 1.5 yrs, I've forgotten. But I don't recall notifications being so delayed. I have tried the following steps:

  • reboot watch
  • reboot phone
  • reset and re-pair watch to phone
  • set up as new (not from a 1.5 yr old backup)
  • exchange the device for a different one.
Nothing has resolved the delay. I find this incredibly annoying. Perhaps more annoying than I should...does anyone else have any ideas to resolve this? Or can anyone confirm that this is normal behavior?

Thanks!

Yeah, a few seconds difference in notifications reaching various devices seems normal. It's not always the watch is late, though. My mom used to have trouble responding to my texts because she'll get them first on her watch, and then will have to wait for them to arrive on her phone or iPad.
