I'm not sure quite how to explain this but I will do my best. I own an iPhone 15 and an iPhone 13, both upgraded to the latest iOS version as of this writing (iOS 18.3.1). I have noticed weird behavior when it comes to notifications on the lock screen.
Sometimes when I tap the screen of my iPhones while they are locked there are no notifications. However, if I pull up on the Lock Screen there is a notification or two. This doesn't seem like the proper behavior to me. Shouldn't all notifications, regardless of when the notification happened, be "up front" so there is no need to pull up to see "Older notifications"?
An experiment:
1. Lock your iPhone
2. While your iPhone is locked and the screen is off, tap the screen
3. Then immediately pull up on the screen and you'll see "No Older Notifications" at the bottom
Is there a setting I missed that would make all notifications appear when I tap the Lock Screen so I don't need to tap and then pull up to see more/older notifications? I know this has been happening for a while, I'm just wondering if there is a way for the user to change this behavior.
