ATT's plans are robbery, why aren't we up in arms. I hope people stay away day 1. Our economy is in shambles. 15 extra dollars, on top of a high cell phone bill is crazy.

Because compared to the other countries that are up in arms, America's iPhone plans are INCREDIBLY good. Canadians would kill for the American iPhone plan.

at&t has been offering voice and data plans for quite some time. compare iphone to those prices --- how is it robbery?? people who want voice&data have paid that for quite some time without near this complaint.

its been said time and again -- if you cant afford the plan then perhaps an expensive phone shouldnt be number one on your priority list

Because caplitalism wins. We have money :D

If anyone thinks they are poor, especially students, imagine living like a student your whole life. Much what it is like in most European countries for the average Joe.

Yes. America is rich where as most Europeans live in small single room huts made from poop and straw

Got to go, the cattle tied up outside my "front door" need milking before dinner.

rightttttttt

the fact that my wage (which is average at 30,000GBP for UK) works out to be $60,000USD

whats the US average wage? $45,000

so eurpopeans are poor? do the maths yankies!

Americans aren't rich, we just put everything on credit. Apple won't let you buy the phone with cash, which I think is against the law, but I digress..

These posts are getting old and annoying, quickly.

If you think the economy is in shambles and are doing so poorly financially to the extent you just can't afford an extra $15.00/month (which brings iPhone pricing in line with every other smartphone) - DON'T BUY ONE.

The prices are by far the most reasonable in the world and are in line with AT&Ts other pricing.

It's simple - if you can't afford it, you don't buy it.

I think the better question is why don't people, across all nations, just choose not to buy the phone if they think its a rip-off.

No need to take up arms for a gadget.

We live with 5 dollars a gal oil. If the teamsters stopped delivering goods, instead of passing the buck to the consumer, our oil would go down big time.

We aren't smart enough to stay away when we can put everything on credit.

$5 a gallon. at the moment we are paying £5.95 a gallon (Diesel) and that works out at about $11.70
$10.57 a gallon for petrol
but lets not go there.

so the iphone is good...

Why are other countries up in arms and America lazily sits back?

I thought you were digressing onto issues about global warming and corrupt african regimes, then I realised you were talking about the iphone. again. ;)

Back on topic . . .
AT&T's iPhone plan, while $15 more than the previous, is in line with every major US carrier's smart phone plan. We might not like the increase, and I'm not certainly going to pay it, but it is a decent price in market. In other countries, the iPhone pricing is higher than other smart phone plans on the market. They have a right to be upset. If you want to fight the price in the US, don't fight the iPhone pricing, rather fight smart phone pricing in general.

so what do you think of this religion thing then. how does it feel in the hand. does it have gps

Easy there.....we do not need any bad blood.

Median or average...median wage is substantially less than the average wage.

It looks like you are quoting median.
