I have about 45 apps on my iPhone 13 (running iOS 26). If I see any red badge icons on the App Store icon, I go in to update, same day. So, this ritual is often a daily one. The list of pending updates tell me how old the updates are. Some are 'Yesterday' (I can live with that), but some are '2 days old' or '3 days old'. Why is this when I literally update the same day I see the badges appear? The age of the updates are 'lying' to me because they weren't there yesterday, or the day before, or the day before that.

EDIT: This isn't new to iOS 26 either. Or just to my iPhone 13. It's been happening for years, across multiple iPhones and multiple iOS's, and maybe it's just now that my patience has flipped.

That's just reminding you that the internet is not as instant as you might think. The date you might see for updates is just the date that the developer makes it available. You get it no sooner than that, and sometimes, because of various reasons, it may take several hours (or days) before that software, or update, actually propagates to "your" part of the internet.
