I understand the 3G and 3GS, in support of the "3G" cellular service which first came to the iPhone 2 years ago. And yes, I know we are still on a 3G network.

hows about:
iPhone 4
iPhone 4th gen (generation)
iP4
...

IIRC, AT&T supposedly will deploy "4G" cellular service sometime 2011.

It all went to hell when the 3G came out; 3G reflects the network, not 3rd generation... So 4th gen = 4G.

I think the same people who say iPhone 4G also say iTouch which doesn't exist.

I prefer iP4.

One of my friends on facebook posted they just ordered the iPhone 4gs.......It made me laugh and kinda mad.

Its like 3G, it did had 3G but i was 2Gen (2G) iphone and the 1st Gen iphone was called 2G for its edge connection..

We never got a 1G iphone xDDD
