Why are people Serious disapointment with the new ipad?

People seem to be Serious disapointment with the ipad saying it only litle bit faster than the old one same RAM and flash storage.

The ipad mini is even slower and less RAM and even less flash storage !!!

Some people saying Apple should have put way more RAM and flash storage?
