I am compelled to upgrade from Sonoma to Sequoia before I am confident it works adequately. Why? Because Sonoma has a huge, unresolved bug with personal hotspots...I think we have the right to expect better than this...

It's a tradition. They will add a little later, and 100% of the time they will break something else, then they will fix it, breaking something else, then they will fix this other thing, breaking something else.

Jesus H Christ - even the ugrade won't work until I disable 'find my mac'...Jobs must be spinning in his grave at the levels of Apple ineptitude. Why does this site - and all the Mac lickspittle monthlies - NEVER call out how RUBBISH and plain unintuitive successive releases have been since Snow Leopard?

I gave up on beta products years ago. In my view, Apple has traded software quality for higher profits. Tim Cook has been steadily conditioning newer users to accept lower standards. While they still make superior hardware, their popularity has suffered as a result. After more than 40 years of using Apple products, I’d love nothing more than to switch to something else. 🙄

I tossed in the towel with beta products years ago. Moreover, Apple has sacrificed software quality for higher profit margins. Tim Cook has been gradually conditioning newer Apple users to accept a consistently lower standard of quality. Sure, they still make the better hardware, but their popularity has taken a hit because of it. Even after using Apple products for over 40+ years, I’d love nothing more than to switch to something else. 🙄
Windows Company is on its way out to you))))

Now on my THIRD 16.0Gb download of the Sequoia upgrade...all I can see is numerous people having major issues with this upgrade process...This CANNOT be either normal or acceptable surely? How does Cook retain his role in the light of this disgrace which seems, increasingly, normal operating procedure?...How about a focus back on quality and less corporate greed?

I went into System Setting>Software Update and did the download for Sequoia 15.0.1. 2 times a screen popped up something about internet and ??? I just hit ok.
Now I'm concerned the download is corrupt and I'll have all sort of problems.
SO
Install MacOS Updates is turned off. It shouldn't install.
I want to stay with Sonoma for now.
IF/when a newer update is available and/or I can get a better/stable internet download.

Q: How do I delete the Sequoia 15.0.1 update/installer? I read on a search that it's in the Applications Folder, but I don't see it.
Thanks.
