Why are there 4 speakers on the 17" MBP?

i looked this up under ifixit guides...
with the 15" MBP, there are 2 speakers and maybe a subwoofer, but the current 17" MBP has 4 speakers, wonder why?

does it really make a difference?

My guess would be because the 17" Macbook Pro is 2 inches bigger.

I think because the 17" was more Professional grade. meaning for higher end audio/video editing, more beefier performance. the 15" is more Pro-sumer, meaning yes it's can be used by the more professional clients of Apple but it's great for everyday regular consumer stuff. Just a thought. My statement is based upon pre-Aluminum Macs

More than 1 Million more pixels = 78% increase in number over the 15" MBP.
