The 11 pro smaller size and larger battery could make it a more attractive proposition for me as I have no interest in Lidar or 5g.
However for some strange reason in UK shops and carriers, the 11pro seems to be more expensive than the 12pro.
What is going on? Why no discounts?
Will Apple start selling refurbished 11pro?

What shops are you looking at? The 11 pro 64gb is selling for around £920 now, and the 256gb for £1050. (Rough average of John Lewis, Argos, Very, Amazon, BT, Currys). If the 256gb goes nearer £900 at any then I will very likely swap my iPhone 12 pro.

I've noticed this, too. I think it might be worth waiting a little bit and seeing if the prices drop. The problem you have is that as they're discontinued, third party companies such as Argos, Currys, etc. likely won't get replenishment of stock. I suppose it depends whether they have a lot to get rid of, or whether they cleverly reduced their stock orders prior to the 12 announcement. It might have even been that Apple constrained their stock enough so these sellers don't have many to "get rid of" in the first place.

Apple might start selling refurbished 11 Pros but there is definitely no guarantee on that. I'll watch this thread and keep an eye out for you! 👍

I have been looking at Vodafone, actually more expensive than the 12pro, and John Lewis which has very similar prices for the two £1075 11pro 256 vs £1099 for the 12pro

The good thing with John Lewis is that they will price match Currys (£1044). On a side note, some of these shops have already ran out of stock of certain models, so sadly I‘m not sure they’ll go any cheaper!

edit: also forgot, the 11 pro comes with an 18w power brick for fast charging, plus EarPods.

Very are currently offering £100 off any iPhone 11 Pro, and the prices are already slightly reduced...

You need to have an account, and choose the but now pay later but if you wanted you can clear the balance as soon as you’ve received the device if you wanted.

So would you end up paying no interest at all? I saw this but was a bit confused!

edit: Oo indeed you can, “You can avoid all of the interest by paying the cash price before the end of the delayed payment period, this can be done in one full payment or multiple partial payments.”

Yep, I’ve often bought electronics from very using this option. They often do decent deals and codes for money off. Just remember to pay it all before any interest would be owed/added after 12 months.
