I see that AT&T charges $15 for Data Unlimited and $30 for Messaging & Data Unlimited for Samsung Eternity users.

Why can't iPhone (and Blackberry as well) users get that same pricing from the same carrier--AT&T?

Anyone knows why? Perhaps, technical difference between Eternity and iPhone/Blackberry?

AT&T (and other US carriers) have cheaper data plans for phones that aren't considered PDA/Smartphones.

The Eternity isn't considered a PDA/Smartphone, so it qualifies for the cheaper data plan.

I thought Eternity is a smart phone... I guess it's not.

Don't forget windows mobile and palm phones. They charge $30 for them too. It's a universal fee for their entire smartphone lineup.
