I was advised to cut and paste pictures from one folder to another new folder, hightlight the picures, use command+x and command+v. I'm using MBP and it doesn't seems to work. Pse don't tell me to use the "move" function. That I know. Advise pse. Thanks

Mac's don't have Cut and Paste in file management. You have to copy it, then delete the source file or drag and drop it.

You can't cut and paste files in native Finder. Either copy and paste, then delete the original, or drag and drop.

(Is there an echo in here, or is just me?) :D

I love that both responses ignored that move functionality, even though the OP did mention they knew about it. It's really the best solution, and the keyboard command is fairly simply (just Cmd-Opt-V instead of Cmd-V). It's inconsistent with the Copy command, but it does work.
