As a person who is totally into the Apple eco system, Apple Music is the only service I cannot seem to embrace!. Over the past few years I have jumped in and out of subscribing but always seem to cancel after a few weeks or months. The latest offer was 3 months for £9.99 so I jumped in again in the hope it has improved in some way?. The main problem I am getting is for some reason the stream just stops whilst playing an album or playlist, I then have to close the app then reopen but I lose the position the playlist was at and have to start from scratch?. This morning the stream stopped, became unresponsive and I had to force quit and reopen the app again?. I also have a Qobuz account and never seem to have the same problem also I can close the app, reopen and resume from the last track played in the playlist.

I’ve never experienced sudden stops. The only annoying thing about streaming, and rarely happens, is the inability to start a double clicked song; Music jumps to following one. And once in a blue moon, Music can’t log in into my account when opening app; then, I just re-open it.

I’m loving AppleMusic, and more as years pass. I have my selected music well organized (5 year user) and proposed music is better curated with use. I don’t need to download anything, and my music and lists are instantly synced across devices. With hi res offering, it’s like having almost all published cd’s (and better) in rental.
I think I surrendered when my light work in selecting and actively classifying, (helped by algorithms, playing database, and whatever AppleMusic uses) produced a nice “music room” after a couple of years. I like it as my reference discotheque (worries me a little: stop paying, all lost. Does AppleMusic remember you and your lists when re-subscribing? I don’t know).

An example: a “J.Gallardo Radiostation” is made for me. It plays “random“, but choses “loved” by me, mixes with similar music (usually quite good to my taste!)… and, even keeps a “mood”, by style, tempo, or decade. I’m really getting paranoid, as music quite often matches weather, matches time of day. It’s quite fun! I love it.

There’re still a few hiccups (lyrics missing or mismatched), and still poor info about albums IMHO, but otherwise, everything works nicely for me.
