I have a bunch of clips on a disc that are in .mp4 format but I can't add them to iMovie. If I open them in Quicktime and then export them as a .mp4 file I can add them just fine. I'm trying to preserve quality, but it looks like if I export anything out of QT it looses a bit of quality.

I have hardly any clue how to use iMovie, and I don't have access to Final Cut Pro at the moment. I hate how sometimes the easy software can be harder to use. :p Any suggestions?

EDIT: I may have found a work around. I exported the .mp4 from QT as a .mov which is a lot better quality than exporting the .mp4 as a .mp4. Still, if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.
