Why can't I copy?

I recently got an Imac with lepord on it, and my last mac had tiger. I tried coping and pasting, and when I right click on the highlighted area, and the highlight just goes away. Why?

What app are you trying to copy things from?

Have you checked to make sure Right Click is activated in System Preferences ??? You can always use "command + c and command + v" till you find an answer.
