Does anyone know why i cannot disable the password on my apple watch series 6 (latest OS)? I do not have apple pay activated on my Watch. The disable password option is gray marked.

Does your iPhone have an employer pushed policy?

My iphone 13 have a passcode.

The phone is my private phone and so no extra certs installed.

The odd part is that 3 days ago i got a popup on my watch that i couldnt remove, and the message said that i couldnt use my watch without a passcode. And to be able to use the watch at all, i had to set passcode to ON to use it, and now im not able to disable it at all.

I think it's also a requirement for notifications, you could try enabling notifications on the iPhone to show when the phone is locked or disable the notifications to the watch of course.

Just tried it, but didnt solve the problem :/

Do you have your 'work' email on your phone? If so, I wonder if the policy for it (IT policy and such), is causing this...

Do you have the setting on your phone under screen time to not allow password or passcode changes turned on? Maybe that’s the issue.
