I don't get it. What changed? When I would go to a movie I bought in iTunes, it would have the little download button next to it. The little cloud symbol with the arrow. Now it's not there? It just has a button that says "watch" and when I click it, it goes to my videos but there's nothing in my videos.

What's going on? This happening to anyone else? What do I do?

What's likely happening is iOS thinks it is installed locally when it is not. I have had this bug happen with apps from the App Store (it thinks it's downloaded yet it isn't).

In my case, a reboot has fixed it.

EDIT: Also, the fact that you are on LTE (not wifi) may play a factor.

The truth is, the iTunes Store is a mess. I purchased a season pass of a show and it still shows complete my season for $10 when I view the season in iTunes. Tonight's episode still shows that it will cost $2.99.

I also have about 5 movies missing from purchases in the store. I can click on buy and it tells me I already purchased it and I can download it for free.

It's been this way for a few weeks now.

I just checked and I see both "Cloud" and "Watch" in iTunes too. Some of the movies I have in the Cloud were purchased from a store other than iTunes. I have the physical DVD/Blueray Disc that allowed me to download a Digital copy from iTunes. THose copies are stored on my Macbook too. I checked the LTE vs Wi-Fi theory and that's not the case. I click to watch and nothing happens. There is plenty space on my iPhone.

((update)) *I checked my iPad that running 7.1 and has the same bug.

So I looked on my iPod that's running iOS 6 which has about ½ less space than my 5s available. Every movie I clicked on in the Purchase section in iTunes shows "Cloud". So it would seem that this is another iOS 7.1 bug. Only thing to do now is send Apple a message.

I'm glad you mentioned this because I'm planning a trip and want to take a few movies along and maybe just watch from iTunes. I guess I will be packing my iPod.

I just check my movies. Looks like the option to download depends on your free memory available. Shorter movies and SD movies show the cloud. Longer HD movies show watch, which then allows me to stream.

EDIT - nevermind. It wasn't the free space. I just checked and it seems totally random.
