Ive tried for 2 days and I cannot figure out what the problem is. I have all the updates and have tried from both safari and firefox browsers. Any suggestions?

Are you set to accept cookies? What version of Mac OS X are you running? You don't happen to be a developer running the 10.5.7 build, do you?

David
10.5.6 and set to accept cookies and Im not developer running that version build.

Can you download anything else from the web like iTunes songs or a file?

David

Yeah, sounds like an internet connectivity issue. Check all your internet connections/firewalls to make sure nothing is stopping you from connecting to the internet.

If you have Little Snitch, check your rules for something impeding access to the 'net.

I just reset my cable modem and still nothing. I can connect fine or I couldnt be on it now. firewall is set to allow all connections.

Well, I think you may just have to wait until the real Safari 4 comes out. I have heard of things like this before. A friend of mine was trying to download the iPhone SDK. It said his Mac didn't meet the requirements but he was on an Intel Mac running 10.5.6. He eventually got the download off a torrent site.

If your interested I just had the same problem and after a while of struggling with it I figured out that if you right click go down to speed download and disable it. I was having with auto downloading linked files for a long time and was making due with right click save linked file as, but no such luck with Safari 4 dl.

Hope this helps!
