The idea SEEMS to be that the Mac/iPhone will manage which connects to the airpods, but in reality, what happens is that whenever I'm home, I can't count on my airpods being connected to my iPhone, which is the ONLY thing I want them to connect to. I NEVER want them to connect to my Mac. But because the iPhone and the Mac are both on my Apple ID, they both want to connect the Airpods. I have enabled the setting that says to only connect to the Mac when they were last connected to the Mac. But no matter what, they still connect to the Mac sometimes. I can't "forget" them on the Mac, because that forgets them on all devices. Surely I'm not the only one with this annoyance?

Why can't I force Airpods to connect only to my iPhone and not my Mac?
