Why can't I hide newstand!!!

I think it's the only APP on my phone that I can't put in my "I never use" folder...

Because Apple doesn't want you to hide it. They want you to use it.

You can add it in the folder.

Drag another app into the folder and while the add animation is going, quickly slide the Newsstand app in. It will go.

Newsstand will crash when you try to open it after doing this though.

This actually works for any folder as well. Of course if you try to open the folder inside the folder it'll crash Springboard haha.

You can do it!!

The trick is that you have to create a new folder then quickly dragging newsstand into the new folder. It may take a few tries to get the timing right.

Newsstand is a folder.

THANK YOU! People don't seem to realize that. Its just a special type of folder and iOS doesn't allow nested folders.
