Why can't I use burned official windows 7?

Ok, so I had found an official windows 7 download, but I keep getting an error saying that it is a non-bootable disc. I downloaded the file (I guess it's an iso), and inserted a blank dvd. I then dragged the file onto a dvd, and burned it. I feel like an idiot, but I don't understand why this won't work right....

I guess I may be doing something wrong, but I have no idea what....

and also from Microsoft directly- Here I realize it is for IT people, but my earlier post would explain the reason...They are both only trials.

Did you burn it as an image or just burned the iso onto the disk?

Well, I finally realized that I had to burn an image from the disk utility. Only took me trying to burn about 3 or 4 dvds to figure this out....I feel kinda silly, but it gets me learning more and more about this mac which I absolutely love right now.
