i have a 5 dollar watch that keeps better time than my $2800 mbp

twice in the past 2 months its decided to forget what time it is, only problem is it happens when its asleep so it doesnt check the time to correct its self then it doesnt wake me up in the morning, this is starting to be a problem as im told next time im late to work im going to be fired, so now i have to go buy spend 20 dollars on an alarm clock becuase my mac cant seem to keep track of time


i know this was a problem mentioned on this board by someone not too long ago, but i cant find it, if anyone remebers or knows a fix ill be very greatful
 
The OP stated it was an MBP. It only comes in Aluminum.

To the OP, try resetting your PRAM, it may be corrupted.

Bingo. When you boot back into OS X, it doesn't know the time. Just open System Preferences and click Date & Time. It will automatically reset itself if you have it set to do that.

eidorian suggested that but the first time it did it im almost positive i was not in bootcamp

You mean it must be yellowing :D

Have you tried another application such as Awaken? It's possible the CMOS clock is broken.
