Why doesn't the Netflix iPhone app find new releases? For instance, if I type in Shutter Island in the app it won't find it. If I go to the website, of course I find it with no problems. Is there a trick to the Netflix app? Thanks.

Ummm, the app only lets you access instant watch que's and instant watch titles.....

ASAIK, the Neflix app is just for the WI content, not a queue manager or to browse the site. Since Shutter Island isn't available for WI, t won't show up in the app; there's nothing you can really do with it.

I have found that 2 apps need to be used to get the most out of Netflix.

1) The Netflix app for watching "Watch Instantly" content, and
2) A list manager (I use Phone Flicks) for finding movies and putting them in the DVD and WI queues.

I hope they do update the app for DVD queue management in addition to streaming content.

+1

I use i.TV instead of Phone Flicks, since I can also remotely set shows to record on my TiVo. Used to use Phone Flicks, but it wasn't necessary to have 2 apps that did the same thing.
