Why do 1080p videos on an ipad upload to youtube in 720p?

I have an ipad air 2 and the videos I shoot on my quadcopter are 1080p 60fps, when I upload them to youtube directly from the ipad they are in 720p 60fps
 
Did you check your settings on the YouTube app? Upload from the app and make sure in settings it's 1080p :)
