Why do I have to login to read forums on iPhone?

Just wondering if it would be possible to remove the need to login when reading the forums on the iPhone/iPod Touch. We don't need to login on computers unless posting, and the keyboard is really small. Just makes it a bit annoying.

At a guess it was an executive decision.

In regards to the original question the mobile site uses WiForums to provide the mobile version of the forums (vBulletin), at a guess it has to do with the credentials of how these two inter operate. But like I said it is a guess as I really have no idea about vB or WiForums.

The mobile one, I have sketchy reception and it loads a lot quicker over EDGE.
