Why do i hear myself twice through my headphones while recording and how can i fix it.
Ive tested it and it has nothing to do with my usb mic as the same problem arises when i use the internal mic.
I have a new mac book. Any ideas..?????

Thanks

This can probably be answered more clearly in the "digital audio" sub-forum.

What you are hearing is the result of "latency" -- the fact that the recording and processing of audio through the mic takes a few milliseconds of time.

This can be more a problem when using USB than it is when using a firewire-based audio interface.

Some USB mics have a headphone port and volume control, so you can monitor the mic -before- the signal "gets processed". Thus, less or no latency.
