Why do safari windows sometimes refresh when I go back to them?

Often when I have pages open in Safari, leave Safari and return the page refreshes?

UGH. It annoys me so much! I use Blackboard with safari (their app doesn't work for my school) and sometimes go out of the browser for a second and it will refresh when I go back.

I just downloaded perfect web browser. Blows safari away!,has tabs and no refreshing.
