I've seen so many threads lately about Apple being greedy and charging too much for their products and screwing over the consumer. Here's a novel concept: They're a business. Their whole goal is to make money. They aren't there to produce phones and sell them for just enough to break even after they pay their employees. That's why the 5C is plastic now. Because selling the 5 for $100 would have cost them more money. If they sold the 5C for $50 like people are saying, they probably would make roughly the same amount as selling a 5 for $100. Why would they do that? It boggles my mind that people don't understand that concept.

.....

Because this is how it's been forever and will always be. If people didn't voice their opinion, we would be getting an always online Xbox one. It's good that people share their frustrations. In this case, not enough people care to make apple change their mind but if they made it 200 per claim, people would go nuts and they would have to change it. If everyone was like you, we would be paying an arm and leg for anything.

Voice your opinion people! Never stop!

Apple management has a legal duty to keep the best interests of their shareholders in mind. Tim Cook doesn't own Apple, the shareholders do, and he works for them.

In a broader philosophical note, you young guys, you should not want your ****** job to pay more and be more comfortable, you should hate that job with a passion and let it be a fire under your ass to get an education and follow your dreams, whatever they are. If the vision of your lifestyle includes nice things - nice gadgets, nice car, nice house, better neighborhood, etc… don't wish those things were cheaper - go make more money.

Sorry, it's just the way it is, want to complain about the weather, too? Go bang your head against the wall and see how that works out for you. Nobody will save you. Not some politician, not your whining, nothing, want something? Do something about it or prepare for a lifetime of disappointment.

The message MS got was their sales would be suffering. THAT is what changed their policy. Want to lower the price of Apple products? Don't buy them by the hundreds of millions and they'll re-think their policies.

What on gods earth are you blabbering about? Now... On your first point, yes, correct, shareholders need to be happy and in order for that to happen, Apple needs to charge the "right" price. Did you see what happened when they released the iPhone 5c prices? Investors punished Apple for it but turns out people will buy it anyways to save 100 dollars.

Anyways, point is, if consumers stop complaining, our wallets will be taken to the grave.

Ummm no sorry. They didn't even start selling the Xbox yet. They changed the policy before the Xbox went on sale. It was due to consumers voicing their frustrations.

You know the 4S is all glass and metal right...and it's free now. Logic flawed.
