Hey guys,

I'm puzzled as to why some App icons in the App Store appear as High res icons, but when installed on the iPhone they look like 480x320 app icons.

Why is this? I don't understand why this happens...

Thanks,

Ams.

Because when a developer submits an app they get to also submit a picture to represent it's App Store icon. It's the picture to see in the App Store, not the application's icon.

Even on the App Store App on the iPhone?

Tap Tap Revenge 3 is an example: I recently got an update for it and in the update description the icon was crisp and clear. When It was downloading on my phone it was also crisp and clear, but when it was done it was just a "regular" icon.

Does what you are saying still apply?

Thanks,

Ams.

Lazy devs, that's why, it's amazing, not even the AP can find someone to take a few seconds to re-do their icon for them..

the icon art and the itunes art are two different images

anyone who has modified icons on a jailbroken iphone knows this
