so i've had my iphone 3gs for two years with a canadian carrier (BELL), i bought apple care for an extended year warrenty, the other day i went into apple and had something wrong with the phone and headphones, so they gave me brand new ones.

put everything up on kijiji and sold it today for $275, went to my carrier and threw down $100 deposit to guarantee the iPhone4s on friday to upgrade. another $126 (tax inc) on friday and i have $50 left over for a case...

why do you all order it from apple instead of ur carrier?

so im getting the iphone for free and a case, and guaranteed on launch day

Check out some of the AT&T pre-order threads and you'll have a pretty clear idea why people would rather deal with Apple's customer service.
