Samsung is one of the largest OLED screen manufacturer and is an Apple partner for years. I don’t think Asus and Lenovo manufactures displays, they use most LG panels.
They are “friends”. Samsung manufactured processors for Apple since the first iPhone until the iPhone 7, and now is supplying flash memories and displays to Apple.

That or they are using Samsung panels. There's only a few actual OLED panel manufactures. Even fewer with the manufacturing capacity to meet Apples demands. Much less the manufacturing sophistication for high pixel density and high refresh rate displays.
They've had some differences. But that's only specific business units. They aren't going to let a squabble get in the way of business. They let the courts decide on one or several contentions but conduct business as usual otherwise.

Edit: They switch to main manifacturer TSMC with iPhone 6, later they co-processed with Samsung on iPhone 6S and then Apple completely give all process to TSMC with starting iPhone 7
