Mine starts to lag after 3 or 4 days after a "set up as new" restore.

Nope. Not at all and my phone has about 669 MB of space left on it (out of 32 GB).

My iPhone 4 lags horribly when I swipe up for control center.

I think you have different perceptions about lag. First on the iphone 4, everything lags, I am asking about iphone 4S. Second, by lag I mean LAG. When control center is lagy it means that is not as smooth as the iphone 5s or ipad air/rmini. This is my perception of lag. I am just asking if this is normal cause I am OK with this, I don't want to think that my 4s is faulty.

Let's do this test please !

Lock your screen, and then on the lock screen, try to open control center !
It's lag for me, more than on the home screen.

If i don't want any lag, i have to disable blur effect but it's ugly, folders are grey, control center and notification center, it's sucks!

So i have installed a tweak which be able to make CC transparency and not translucide (blur remover), and i use CCquick to change the color.

Now it's better, but if you have a tweak which can only disable blur effect of the control center and notification, but not the folders, tell me please!

Where do you primarily see the lag with CC? When you swipe up while on the home screen, or in safari, or always? I know that having a lot of icons (and folders even moreso) can make CC less smooth.

You have a 4s, a 3 year old phone, and Apple is giving us new os's, be glad we get updates like this. I have a 4s and it is not super fast, but Apple put out an update to speed us up using 4/4s and its good. It may be little slow, but if you were on Android you wouldn't get latest updates like this. I am getting a 6 and I suggest you get one as well.

It's normal. The 4s lacks the processing power to process the image behind CC and blur it appropriately.

Does the lack disappear if you turn on Reduce Transparency?

My wife's 4s does the same thing.

After I restore my iphone 4s, control center is as smooth as on the iphone 5s but after I start to install apps, use the iphone, puling the control center becomes laggy.

Because Apple are masters at optimizing their hardware and software ;).

Hey, at least he has the option of getting regular updates to his phone. Android users are subject to the whims of their carriers. Some of them never get updates. So, while it might not be ideal that his 3 year old phone lags while using a modern iOS feature, at least he can have the feature.

I see the lag on the lokscreen more than another app ou springboard.

I would have a tweak which can change the color of control center and folders even if I disable transparency in settings.

The problem is that if you disable transparency. No one tweak can change the color of folders docks and control center !!

It's sucks because if you do that then your folders dock and cotrol center are grey and it's ugly !!

I tried fancy, docks shift and several other but no one can do the job. Why ? :(

Grey folder and dock sucks !! But it's really smoother like that.

Please try this test :

With blur / transparency enable. Try to scroll on safari in the multi windows. It will lag a lot !

Without its smooth

What I don't get is why on earth is control center at first silky smooth and after a while it becomes laggy. I just want to know if this thing is normal, that's it.

It's because of all the porn you're putting as your wallpaper and icons :p

I do use dynamic wallpapers sometimes but it still is smooth at first. And I don't watch porn on my iphone at all.

I believed someone mentioned that the lag is actually a bug (the bug was on pulling down notification center on the lockscreen) that may be fixed in iOS 8. Apparently CC is much smoother in iOS 8. Not sure if the two are related.

I am talking about the homescreen.

36 month old version of Android - phone still flies as fast as it did when new. Internet browsing is super fast. Apps open super fast. No issues whatsoever with functionality.

New version of iOS on an older phone - slooooow. Frustrating to use. Dying to upgrade.
Oh, but I gotz the latest o/s and thankyou Apple...
