Why does Cydia icon display "1"

Why is there a "1" attached to the Cydia icon in the homescreen (iphone 4 - see attachment)? Do I need to attend to something....?

That means one of your installed Cydia packages has an update. Go into changes and install it.

You will also see that badge on icons which give Push Notifications, Mail, messages, etc.

Just open the app and follow the displays.

The iPhone is a visual platform.. Just follow the prompts.
