Why does dragging files into the dropbox folder only copies?

Why does dragging files into the dropbox folder only copies? But in Finder if I drag files into any other folder it moves the files? This is super annoying, is this a bug with dropbox?

Nevermind, dont know how to delete thread but I forgot my dropbox folder was on an external drive...
