Why does Final Cut Pro X matadata columns reset every startup?

I don't remember having this problem until after Apple added the 360 and Stereoscopic Mode metadata fields, which now populate in the event viewer every time. Final Cut resets my event viewer metadata column width and field selection every time I quit the application. Currently on version 10.4.6 on MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Its annoying, started awhile ago. Did you find anything to change this behavior.

Update: I installed Mojave 10.14.4 and I can confirm it fixed the bug, all else being equal.
